Due to the electronic timer malfunction yesterday at our pinewood derby, we will run all of the cars one by one in a single lane and manually time them TOMORROW NIGHT, Tuesday, January 26, upstairs at the United Methodist Church.
Timing will start at 7 pm and we will run each car as quickly as possible to get a time for the cars. If you took your car home from the derby on Sunday, PLEASE bring it back tomorrow to be re-weighed and a time given. Any cars not there tomorrow will be ineligible for den and pack awards.
In addition, we will run the cars against each other in heats after the timing is completed so the boys can see the cars race each other together.
This is obviously not ideal and we should have been better prepared yesterday, but this will give each boy a fair chance to see their car race and give boys a chance to enter their car for districts if they qualify.
