2017 is here! 

Looking forward to seeing everyone on Tuesday 1/3 at den meetings. 

Pinewood Derby will be coming up quickly! It is Saturday, Jan 21 at Lion's Park. After 

researching car ideas, get started on designing your car. Pinterest has tons of ideas, as well as www.boyslife.org, www. scouting.org and even YouTube! Weigh-in will be 2 weeks from 

Tuesday!

If anyone in the Pack has access to a workshop where Scouts and parents could work on their 

cars, please let us know. 

Also, for any parents who are concerned about having access to a saw, workshop, or other items 

needed to shape a car, the Pack does have a very limited amount of pre-cut cars. These kits 

were donated to the pack and are available on a first come, first serve basis. We can exchange 

the unopened Derby car kit your Scout was given on Wed night for ones of these cars. If you have 

any questions or want more information, email me directly. 

Also, many Scouts will be looking forward to Nanuq in the next month or so. Be sure to register if 

you haven't already at www.bsacmc.org

The Blue & Gold Banquet will be our next big event, happening Sunday Feb 26th. This is when the

Webelo IIs choose their future Boy Scout Troop and cross over to Boy Scouts. It is a big 

celebration for the Webelos, but is also good for all ages of Cub Scouts and families to attend to 

look forward to the excitement of joining Boy Scouts. We will need a few people to help with 

organizing and running the banquet. Let me know if you are interested,
