Cub Scout Pack 111
May 1st,  2016

Cub Scout Graduation is this Tuesday, May 3rd. We will be having our ceremony and potluck at Lion's Park at 7pm. The Pack will provide hot dogs, buns and chip, as well as plates, napkins and silverware.
We are asking each den to provide additional dishes for the meal. There are approximately 35 Scouts and their families. Last year we had over 100 people attend the graduation.
Tigers: beverages (water & juice)
Wolves: fruit or veggies (mixed fruit, salads, veggies & dip, etc)
Bears: desserts
Webelos I: side dishes

Also, t-shirt orders are due with payment by Tuesday. Please take a moment to look at the attached order form. You can either print it off and bring it along to graduation, or email me your order.

Please take a moment to sign up for the Lincoln Carnival. The time slots are just about filled, but we still need a few more volunteers. This is an excellent way for the Scouts to maintain a presence in the schools, and we are only asking for 30 minute shifts to help run a game - the Piggy Races. We will provide the prizes, and any volunteers will get in free. We ask that the Cub Scouts wear their uniforms to help spread the word about Scouting. Den Leader and Adult Leader Training at Parker Scout Camp was cancelled, and at this time, there is no word on whether they will be rescheduling it. We will keep you posted if it is offered again this summer. Otherwise, if you are a leader or active with the pack, please go online to complete the required training. Contact me if you have any questions.

Saturday May 7th is the spring Tree Planting Service Project. Cub Scouts get to work with area Boy Scout Troops and the Sherburne Soil and Water Conservation District to plant 400 bare root trees to help reforest local parks. This year it will be at Woodland Trails Park, 20135 Elk Lake Rd, from 9-12 - rain or shine. This is a great chance to be active outside with the boys, and also a great service for the community.
Dress appropriately, as we will be in the woods - long pants, sturdy shoes and gloves. If possible, bring round pointed shovels, 5 gallons buckets and a wheelbarrow.
